Roberto Pantè speaks at the “Next Gen AI” conference on Artificial Intelligence and Culture
On May 21, 2025, at the Conference Center of the University of Naples Federico II, our Creative Director Roberto Pantè took part as a speaker at the “Next Gen AI conference. Opportunities and dark sides of artificial intelligence in the cultural and creative world”, promoted by the’Civita Association in collaboration with the University of Frederick II.
The meeting marked the first stop on the national tour presenting the XV Civita Report, a volume that analyzes the impact of Generative Artificial Intelligence on the cultural and creative industries. Over 4,700 creatives registered with SIAE and a representative sample of young people between 18 and 34 years old contributed to the research, published by Marsilio Editori with the support of IGT, SIAE and SWG.
In his speech, Pantè emphasized the value of the collaboration between Phantasya Communication and the Department of Humanities, defining it «not just a project opportunity, but a true cultural mission». After thanking Rector Matteo Lorito, Department Director Andrea Mazzucchi, prof. Francesco Bifulco and Prof. Francesca Marone, illustrated how Phantasya is integrating Artificial Intelligence into its projects to amplify, make accessible and make “live” cultural heritage.
«Phantasya has always believed in the marriage between technology and culture. We have demonstrated this in international exhibitions such as Pompeii in Barcelona and Spellbound in Munich, where we have created metaversical environments of over 400 square meters, also valorizing more than 100 archaeological finds from the MANN».
Pantè highlighted the role of generative ’AI in developing immersive experiences capable of engaging visitors with historical figures, as in the case of the chatbot and intelligent avatar under development for the Art in Class app, designed to bring art to schools through interactive methods.
Among the most innovative projects mentioned, also the Parthenope virtual museums and the Women’s Museum, where historically relevant female figures will be recreated via AI, capable of telling their own stories and interacting with audiences in real time.
«It’s not about replacing human storytelling –she stated– but about expanding it. Not to create cold simulations, but to build experiences capable of arousing emotion, understanding, meaning».
Participation in the conference and collaboration with GRETA, OGEP3 and L’ABCD edutainment, they confirm Phantasya’s commitment to promoting innovation rooted in humanistic knowledge and aiming for an increasingly accessible, inclusive, and engaging culture.
