DALÍ SPELLBOUND EXHIBITION: A SURREALIST JOURNEY IN MUNICH, BAVARIA
On Thursday, Feb. 1, 2024, the exhibition “Spellbound” opened at the prestigious setting of the Munich Philharmonic, focusing on the display of the set design of the same name, a majestic and monumental painting created in 1945 by Salvador Dalí for Alfred Hitchcock’s film “I Will Save You.”
The itinerary, curated by The Dalí Universe president Beniamino Levi and conceived and realized by Phantasya Communication in the artistic direction of Creative director Roberto Pantè, allowed the total involvement of the viewer in a dreamlike journey: the collection of original works by the Catalan master, including sculptures and graphics, sketches and the lithographs that Dalí created, among others, for a revolutionary dream sequence in the 1945 Oscar-winning film, celebrates the encounter between art and cinema, adding an unprecedented dimension to the film.
The spectacular and imposing “Spellbound” set dominated the scene at the center of the Philharmonic stage, enchanting visitors who continued their itinerary among visual effects, holograms and sound effects, concluding the immersive journey into the fantastic and surreal Dalinian world within a virtual space of the Metaverse.
