The exhibition is curated by Beniamino Levi, president of The Dalí Universe, and is directed by Roberto Panté, Artistic Director of The Dalí Universe.

The Museographic Project

Dalí: Spellbound – Escenografía de un sueño, hosted at the Palacio de la Autonomía de la UNAM in Mexico City, represents a unique opportunity to admire the extraordinary canvas that Salvador Dalí created for Alfred Hitchcock's 1945 film of the same name. Phantasya was responsible for the museographic journey, presenting Dalini's original works belonging to the exhibition's curator, Beniamino Levi, through engaging storytelling and refined storytelling. Using multimedia exhibits created with the most advanced technologies and a large section dedicated to virtual reality, developed in collaboration with Sensea Immersive, which curated the immersive experience accessible through VR headsets, the project offers a highly immersive experience, giving rise to a multisensory journey with a very high visual impact.

The Exhibits

Framing and enhancing the artistic scope of the works are numerous multimedia exhibits: projections, video mapping, holograms, and interactive installations designed to delve deeper into Salvador Dalí's creative universe and the relationship between art, cinema, and psychoanalysis. The experience is enriched by a virtual reality trail, created in collaboration with Sensea Immersive, which allows visitors to immerse themselves in a digital environment inspired by the artist's surrealist imagery through the use of VR headsets.

The Setups

Each area of the trail is accompanied by a original soundtrack and a voice over, designed to amplify visitors' emotional engagement. Phantasya also oversaw all the exhibition's exhibition design aspects: from the design and construction of display cases and supports specifically designed for the exhibition, to the panels and infographics scattered along the museum itinerary, to the lighting project, helping to create a coherent, immersive and scenographically impactful exhibition environment.
