Parthenope: the inclusive digital platform that tells the story of Naples through its protagonists
Phantasya signs a new digital project that combines accessibility, innovation, and participatory storytelling: Parthenope is born, an immersive platform dedicated to the female figures who have shaped the history and cultural identity of the city of Naples.
Made with the scientific contribution of the’University of Naples Federico II, Parthenope is designed to be usable by everyone, without barriers. The platform was designed according to criteria of inclusivity and universal accessibility, with particular attention to both the interface and the content:
- Tools such as speech synthesis, multilingual subtitles, and simplified interfaces have been integrated to ensure a complete and intuitive experience even for those with sensory, cognitive, or linguistic difficulties.
- The use is accessible even to blind people, thanks to voiceovers generated with AI technology, which make “speak” the protagonists of the past. An engaging narrative device, which makes the journey even more immersive and inclusive.
Targeted at a wide audience — from schools to international visitors — Parthenope offers an engaging experience even for the most young, thanks to a game-based section that stimulates active learning through play.
In addition to 4K text, audio and video content, Parthenope integrates innovative technologies such as virtual reality, the use of artificial intelligence for digital character generation and a multichannel user system, also available via mobile app for Android and iOS, with offline e augmented reality (AR) content functionality.
A project designed to be constantly evolving: the platform is open, continuously updated, with the aim of enriching itself with new stories, contributions, thematic itineraries, and tools to foster active user participation.
With Parthenope, Phantasya reaffirms its commitment to the field of accessible, inclusive and innovative cultural communication. A digital narrative that does not exclude, but involves. Which not only tells, but invites exploration.
